HAWAII 08 - My 9th year

Aloha...well it is a hard to believe that I am here in Kona for my 9th year.  I feel so lucky to be in Hawaii, doing what I love doing with the people I love.  This is really where my TRIATHLON dream started.  I think back to my first race here in Keauhou in 1999.  I arrived on the island as a first timer triathlete, and it didn't take me long to get hooked.  It doesn't take long as we all know.  The Ironman bug is one of the best bugs to get.......

It feels so good to be finally here on the Big Island, after I spent some days travelling.  Armando and I packed up all our stuff from our training base in France and headed here to HAWAII.  It is just so amazing how the travelling thing effects you.  Considering europe is EXACTLY 12HOURS different to KONA.  SO, for the past few days we have been finding our selves going to bed here at 7.30pm and waking up at 3.30am as our body clocks are completely upside down.   We have plenty of time to get our body clocks dialled in.

I love everything about Hawaii, as soon as I stepped of the plane it felt great, just the wind the air the sun and the smells are so special.  THE energy here is powerful and I FEEL you must be careful not to get to carried away with all the hype and stay in control.  SO, for me I right now, it is 4am and the coffee smell from the kitchen is soooooooooooooo yummy that I am going to have to sign off and get me some coffee.  THE KONA COFFEE IS SOME OF THE YUMMIEST IN THE WORLD.

So, I HOPE everyone who is coming to HAWAII is packed up and ready to go. The sea looks calm, the roads look smooth and the energy lab looks and feels HOT!!!!!

CATCH UP AGAIN SOON.

HUGS JO
