Hi supporters,
I've been recovering well from my race efforts last Saturday; of course disappointed that I did not win my 7th title in Taupo, but I did my best on the day and came up short. I am still very proud of my 2nd place finish, as I realise it is nice to win every race, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. I secured my KONA slot!!! I WILL BE BACK.....AND I SURE HAVE SOME FIRE IN MY BELLY NOW!!! Maybe this is just want I needed to realise thatI have the potential to win the BIG ONE, and to give me the final push.

The week leading up to the race, is one I would rather forget. I was super busy all week long, and I didn't really realise it until friday that I hadn't stopped at all. But that is to be expected with the hype of 25th Anniversary and me going for my 7th consecutive title. Radio, TV, Newspaper and autograph signing......I felt like a Hollywood star! My Mobile phone battery wasn't even lasting until dinner time!

I love the Town of Taupo, I love the people and I love the Race. It is so great to see how enormous this event has become. I am so proud to be part of the history and also proud to be a kiwi.
