Chilly weather....

Well we have been home now for a week, and the weather last week was awesome......two days after we got home, Armando and I did a trip over to Motutapu Island and Rangitoto Island.  We were invited over there to check out the island and check out the race course of this new event.........THE EVENT IS called THE DUAL....it is happening in March next year.  I think it is march 28th............Wow.  The day was magical.  The day started with a quick ferry ride from Auckland.  My friend Nik picked us up and we all made our way down to the ferry building, thru the mid morning Auckland traffic.   It was cool to be sitting in traffic once again.  We were met there by Nik's partner Aaron, who is in charge of the event.  He organised the day....and what a day it was.  There were many people on board the ferry who we knew......Tom Ashley was there too, GOLD MEDAL IN BEIJING!!!  wow, how cool was that....to meet a recent medalist!!  that was awesome.  WE got to see alot of the island, Armando and most of the guys did a big run.......they toured nearly all of the both islands.  It was great for Armando as he had never been to either of these islands.  The day was unbelievable....the weather.....amazing.  Armando and Tom ran alllllllllllllllllllll the way to the top of Rangitoto.....and how cool, all the volcanic rock on rangitoto is only found one other place in the world?????................KONA...............HAWAII. 

The island is soooooooooooo amazing and is so close to auckland.  Just a quick ferry ride over and you are in one of the most untouched and beautiful places in the world!!!  GO CHECK IT OUT.....

SO all is going great here in Auckland.  The auckland marathon is coming up this weekend.....I am so excited to see Armando running in it, I get to cheer loud for him and for many other friends doing it...........coolness
