Back in the heat...

Well here I am, back in Weston Florida....and I don't know what I was talking about a few weeks back....being hot? what I am experincing right now is a joke. I had been to florida one time many years ago, it was august! I don't even think I could get out of the hotel......it was stinking hot. And now, training in heat like that is quite hard. We try and start early, and beat the heat, but I am not starting at 4am.....that is just too early.

I guess this is good heat acclimitisation, fingers crossed all my races this year are in styffling conditions.

One more sleep until we leave for St Croix

Wow, I can't believe tomorrow we are leaving for St Croix. I have heard and read soooooooooooo much about this race and place, and I am finally going there. The Beast???? I look forward to telling you how it goes? is it really that steep??? only a few more days until I test myself up some hills......

Weston Florida....phew it is hot!

Well I have finally made it all the way to the states. Starting my 7 months trip with a stay in Florida. Last week Armando and I flew from NZ all the way to Orlando Florida to meet up with Armando's family. We hadn't seen them for 5 years.......way way way too long. It was awesome, tears all around when we meet up at the airport. Tears of joy mixed with 30 hours of travelling were pretty free flowing.
