THE BASE- MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME…….

Espana

WOW, another day in paradise.  Armando and I are here in Spain.  We are staying with some of Armando's friends, Pedros, Irina and Sofia.  We have so much fun here with them we have done this same trip for the past 3 years.  SAN SEBASTIAN is our actualy location.  It is just incredible here.

San Sebastian is based on the north west coast of spain.  It is in the famous Basque country.  It is only a stones throw over to France.  We ofen take day trips over the Biarritz.  We do a spot of shopping and a little surfing.  Well, I do the shopping and Armando is surfing.

Half Ironman Kansas

Tongue out WELL HERE I AM A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER MY RACE AT THE 70.3 KANSAS RACE.

70.3 Kansas mini report

Today'a race was really similar to Hawaii - no wetsuit swim, really hot hilly and windy bike, and a really hot run.

The main idea of this race was to bike fast - and mission accomplished - Jo bike split was by far the fastest of the day - by 4 1/2 minutes.

She came short just 29 seconds from the win from the 70.3 World Champ Samantha McClone -

Jo is really happy with the results considering that she has been battling illness since she arrived in the States June 1.

Again, thank you for your support over the past years and welcome to another exciting new season, with new goals and new aspirations. Here in the Southern Hemisphere my race season has just started, summer has arrived, it is getting hotter and hotter and the humidity is rising too.
