My friend Karl Woolcott, from Adventure Travel invited me down to talk the Triathlon Club. It WAS AWESOME. I really really enjoy talking to people and even more so when it is about IRONMAN.

Rain, No Rain!
Submitted by Jo on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 21:43.Well here I am looking out at the sky.....rain one minute and then the next bright sunshine. Welcome to NZ. The land where one street is beautiful weather and the next it is raining. But I love it. So right now the sky is blue, and I am contemplating walking to the gym. I will walk to the gym, but I will take a jacket and an umbrella.

Submitted by Jo on Sat, 11/01/2008 - 01:50.Well here we are in November now.......it doesn't really seem that long from Kona. Even though it was last month, it seems like it was just last week. My body has recovered well, my abcess wound has nearly 100% healed, I guess the last part of a wound to heal takes the longest.
Chilly weather....
Submitted by Jo on Tue, 10/28/2008 - 05:25.Well we have been home now for a week, and the weather last week was awesome......two days after we got home, Armando and I did a trip over to Motutapu Island and Rangitoto Island. I think it is march 28th............Wow. The day was magical. The day started with a quick ferry ride from Auckland. My friend Nik picked us up and we all made our way down to the ferry building, thru the mid morning Auckland traff

I have been away since late may, and this season has been very interesting to say the least. I think I am a different athlete now, much much stronger.
The Week before The World Champs.
Submitted by Jo on Thu, 10/02/2008 - 21:24.WOW,it is really the week before the week before the Ironman World Champs. I am here lying on my bed in the cool temperature of my bedroom, with the air conditioner working full time. I feel here in Hawaii, it is good to experience the Heat and Humidity during training, but then when you are resting it is best to be in the cool air conditioning, of your apartment.
HAWAII 08 - My 9th year
Submitted by Jo on Fri, 09/26/2008 - 15:01.Aloha...well it is a hard to believe that I am here in Kona for my 9th year. I feel so lucky to be in Hawaii, doing what I love doing with the people I love. This is really where my TRIATHLON dream started. I think back to my first race here in Keauhou in 1999. I arrived on the island as a first timer triathlete, and it didn't take me long to get hooked. It doesn't take long as we all know. The Ironman bug is one of the best bugs to get.......
