Ironman Germany

10 days Before Ironman Germany

Zarrautzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Well what an awesome day...................the crowds, the course, the competitors and everything about this race was amazing.  I just love it here.  The race has come and gone!

Well I am here in the Basque country...northern Spain.....and I am loving every second of it.

I arrived here safe and sound from a longgggggggggg trip, NZ to london, where I raced the TriGrandprix half ironman, I may have been asleep, but wow what a race.  It was hard, hilly and honest.  I had a great day, even though I felt like it was in the middle of the night.  I had done some solid training at home before packing up, and it showed on raceday.

Home again............

Well that was a quick trip..........

Just got back from a great trip across the sea to New Caledonia.  What a great place and it is only a 2.5hour flight from Auckland.  That is awesome.  Cam Brown had suggested a month ago that we go across and have a weekend doing the  Olympic distance triathlon.  Sounded like a good idea so we contacted the race.....and sure enough a month later we are sitting at a restaurant over looking the calm, clear warm waters of Noume.

Sunday a fun day............................

Back into it.....

Today I hit the road nice and early, meeting up with the Kinetic edge bike group.  It is an awesome group to ride with, they are all amazingggggggggggggggg cyclists....and they just kill me!!  i think by riding with them, I get into shape and back into some kind of fitness alot faster..with less effort!!  I like it, well I can say that now sitting on the sofe...but not when we are killing it in the Waitaks!!!  why do they have to attack like that???  anyway..all good and loads of fun

Getting back into the swing of things....

Well It has been 21/2 weeks since Ironman New Zealand....I can really hardly believe it has come and gone.  The time after the race seems to go fast but the time leading up to the event goes super fast.  Why does that happen?  gets me.......

I thought I had better get back into some sporty stuff, as the shopping, eating out and drinking can only last so long.  I have had a great recovery, which off course was made easier with my MVP boots, and having Pua massaging me almost everyday......No niggles!  always handy.......
